Junior Savings Account Application

As a parent, guardian or trustee over 18, you may use this form to open a Junior Savings Account on behalf of a child under 16. In doing so, you will manage the account until the child turns 16 and the Junior Savings Account matures into an adult member savings account.

Before you make a start, let’s check you have everything you need. To complete this application, we will ask you to upload:

a copy of the child's birth certificate or passport

a copy of your photographic ID, such as a passport or driving licence

proof of your address, such as a recent utility bill or council tax bill

How do you intend to deposit funds?

If you intend to have your Child Benefit paid directly into the savings account, please let us know your Child Benefit reference number, as shown on your bank statement.

Please upload one photo ID and proof of your address as parent, guardian or trustee, and a copy of the child's birth certificate or passport.

ID must be in date. We can accept:

Passport

UK driving licence or UK blue disabled driver's pass (photocards)

National ID card or EU Member State photo ID card

Biometric Residence permit (BRP)

Home Office travel documents

UK Armed Forces ID card

Proof of address documents must be dated within the last three months. We can accept:

Council tax, gas, electricity or water bill

Building society, credit card or bank statement from the past three months

Tax assessment or HMRC letter

Photographic ID, such as a driving licence

Council rent card

Mortgage statement

Private tenancy agreement

Certificate of voter registration

Official letter from a UK solicitor, Benefits Agency, Pensions Service, JobCentre Plus or the DVLA.
